Potatoes For 2010!

We have put together a selection of seed potatoes which we think you will enjoy both growing and EATING! These include, 1st Earlies, 2nd Earlies, Main Crop and Salad Varieties.

Sold in sets of 5 seed potatoes per variety for £2.50. 

1st Earlies: Currently In Stock

• Arran Pilot - Firm, waxy texture and lovely flavour, it is best appreciated when cooked straight from the garden.
• Foremost - Extra high quality with firm, tasty white flesh which is especially tasty!
• Rocket - Pure white flesh, which is waxy and soft at first digging.

2nd Earlies: Avalable late February

• Kestrel - Kestrel has an old fashioned flavour, it makes good chips and roasts well because the soft flesh does not absorb much fat.
• Saxon - This variety has white skin and white flesh. Firm, moist texture.
• Wilja - This variety has yellow skin, light yellow flesh. Moderately firm, slightly dry texture.

Main Crop: Avalable late February

• Desiree - Scores 5 on the waxy/floury scale and can be used for great roast potatoes and chips, creamy mash and also wedges.
• King Edward - The classic main crop - great for roasting!
• Majestic - Another classic white skinned variety with soft white flesh and a floury taste.

Salad Varieties: Avalable late February

• Charlotte - With its distinctive long, oval shape, white skin and moist texture it is ideal for so much more than just salads.
• Nicola - This variety has a firm cooked texture. It has a long oval shape, yellow skin and light yellow flesh.
• Pink Fir Apple - This variety is a very long potato, and is red in colour.
• Yukon Gold - It is a very attractive, bold, yellow variety which stands out visually from other varieties. Great buttery flavour.

You can pick which varieties you like. You just need to type your selection into the 'Variety Choice' box below -  for example;  Foremost,  Saxon etc and don't forget to select the 'Quantity' number for the total number of sets you are buying!
