The 'Big' Square Raised Bed 120cm x 120cm

The 'Big' Square Raised Bed 120cm x 120cm

Big Square Wooden Raised Beds - No Nails, No Screws, No Holes to Dig

Why to use Raised Beds?

Control of soil quality and texture, good drainage, orderliness and ease of tending and harvesting.

Simplicity does not compromise quality. . Here you can simply choose from different models almost all are interchangeable and rearrangeable. They are all made from only 3 components, Posts, ended boards and plain boards. All completely environmentally sound and hard wearing indeed. The wood is slow- grown in the northernmost part of Europe for tight grain and long lasting properties. Uses no chemicals at all.

Each BIG Raised Bed Module has an individual foot print of 120 x 120 cm, and is available with 5 depth options.

The number next to the title (e.g BRB1) indicates how many 15 cm (6") boards high the Raised Bed is, e.g BRB1 = 1 x 15cm board high, BRB2 = 2 x 15cm boards high and so on

The number of modules used governs the size of the raised bed and additional modules can be added at a later date to increase your growing area.

Which depth for me?

BRB 1 – Salads – Starter kits – Kids Gardening
BRB 2 – Most useful. Most vegetables, Peas, Dwarf Beans
BRB 3 – Root vegetables, spuds and where drainage is a big problem
BRB 4 – Showbench root veg – Spuds - Beans - Low Wheelchair – Stand up gardening.
BRB 5 – Wheelchair – Spuds – Beans - Stand up gardening.

The BIG Square Raised Beds can be combined with Long Raised Bed Modules only to add a variety to your layout.

Planed wood?
The surface of the boards is shaved from the sides and edges removing all the rough splinters leaving a smooth surface all round. This results in a slightly thinner board virtually splinter free. It is then much more difficult for very small animals and microbes to get a foothold therefore  helping to prolong the life of the wood..
