How big are they? Footprint for Classic Raised Beds/Modules is approx 90 x 90cm

Why would I use Raised Beds? Control of soil quality and texture, good drainage, orderliness and ease of tending and harvesting.

Which height is best for me? The code number e.g CRB1 indicates how many 15 cm (6") boards high. CRB1 = 1 x 15cm board high, CRB2 = 2 x 15cm boards high (30cm) and so on.

CRB 1 – Salads – Starter kits – Kids Gardening
CRB 2 – Most useful. Most vegetables, Peas, Dwarf Beans
CRB 3 – Root vegetables, spuds and where drainage is a big problem
CRB 4 – Showbench root veg – Spuds - Beans - Low Wheelchair – Stand up gardening.
CRB 5 – Wheelchair – Spuds – Beans - Root Vegetables - Stand up gardening.

All Raised Beds are extendable with modules added to a matching side. Modules attach by sliding boards into the posts on a common side of the original Raised Bed. Modules have a slightly smaller outside footprint than the original 4 sided bed due to sharing a side. However the capacity is the same as the original 4 sided bed. These beds have totally interchangeable parts with Standard Raised Beds and/or Superior Raised Beds. You can vary the hight of the modules to add interest and flexibility.

Classic Raised Beds 90cm x 90cm can be linked with
Classic Raised Bed Modules 90 x 90cm and/or
Long Raised Bed Modules 90 x 120cm to add a variety to your layout.

The number of modules used governs the total footprint of the raised bed and additional modules can be added at a later date to increase your growing area.

Note: That if you add an additional module to an existing Raised Bed, ensure that you select a module that is either of the same depth or shallower than your existing Raised Bed.

Compost Requirements for Raised Beds (60L bags)
Classic: 2 bags per board depth
Long: 2.5 bags per board depth
